Welcome to Foundation 1 here at Lift Hall Road

Sam Kohler

We offer 15 hour and 30 hour funded places to our 3-4 year olds in F1. Children who join our nursery from 3 years old settle in lovely and it has a positive impact on their transition into Foundation 2. We are based within the same unit and have constant interaction with each other therefore all the staff are familiar with the children and strong relationships are made.

A typical day in Foundation 1

8:30 - 9:00am

  • Welcome the children into the setting
  • Coats on pegs
  • slippers on
  • Self registration
  • Morning continuous provision

9:00 - 10:00am

  • Morning group incl. Maths
  • Learning in the Continuous Provision

10:00 - 11:00am

  • Phonics
  • Snack time
  • Indoor and Outdoor Continuous Provision

11:00 - 11:20am

  • Topic Time
  • Story Time
  • Dinner Time / Home Time

12:20 - 12:40pm

  • Coats on pegs
  • Slippers on & into classroom
  • Self Registration
  • Afternoon Continuous Provision

12:40 - 12:50pm

  • Afternoon Group Incl. Maths

12:50-1:40pm

  • Afternoon Continuous Provision
